The Tennessee Atlas & Gazetteer includes 74 quadrangular maps covering the entire state. The scale of the maps is 1:140,000 (one unit of measure on the map represents 140,000 units of the same measure on the ground). Each map page is composed of 24 minutes of longitude and 27 minutes of latitude, covering an area approximately 22 miles (35 km) wide by 30.8 miles (50 km) high.
To create a wall map of Tennessee, join the 74 maps together using two atlases. The resulting mosaic will measure approximately 18.6 feet wide by 5 feet high.
